Percakapan Telanjang
Suatu hari di sebuah kafe kopi di Senayan City yang sibuk, ketika senja hampir jatuh di barat. Jalanan basah oleh hujan. Dan macet.
Saya sedang kongko-kongko dengan beberapa kawan yang kebetulan berprofesi sebagai PR. Ditemani beberapa potong pisang goreng keju dan cangkir-cangkir cappucino, kami berbincang tentang banyak hal. Ihwal pansus Century, lelucon tentang pengacara gundul yang jadi wakil rakyat itu, Twitter yang makin lama makin seru, Facebook yang kian riuh, dan sebagainya.
Obrolan santai itu kemudian sampai ke rencana membuat blog untuk perusahaan tempat teman saya bekerja itu. “Saya mau bikin, Mas. Ini proyek terbesar saya,” katanya.
Aha. Menarik. Kendati demam blog sudah berjangkit sejak awal tahun 2000-an, bahkan Pesta Blogger sudah berlangsung tiga kali, tapi ternyata belum banyak perusahaan di Indonesia yang memiliki blog. Sejauh pengetahuan saya, baru dua perusahaan konsultan Maverick dan Virtual, serta beberapa grup media seperti Tempo dan SCTV, yang mempunyai blog. Anehnya lagi, belum ada perusahaan teknologi informasi yang membuat blog.
Untuk meningkatkan relasi dengan konsumen, perusahaan sebaiknya memiliki blog. Media ini adalah ruang percakapan antara konsumen dan produsen. Tempat konsumen bisa bertanya dan produsen menjelaskan. Tentu saja tempat tersebut harus gampang diakses dan informasi yang disediakan lengkap.
Apakah blog korporat? Blog yang isinya dibuat, dipublikasikan, dan didukung oleh perusahaan/organisasi untuk meraih tujuan perusahaan yang bersangkutan. Blog korporat berguna memperkuat hubungan konsumen, serta citra dan posisi perusahaan sebagai ahli di bidangnya.
Corporate blog membuat wajah perusahaan lebih manusiawi. Komunikasi antara produsen dan konsumen pun berlangsung secara telanjang. “Naked conversation,” tulis Robert Scoble, narablog ternama di Amerika Serikat.
Blog perusahaan juga bisa menjadi semacam sekolah bagi konsumen; memberikan edukasi dan menambah pengetahuan tentang sebuah produk atau layanan.
Kalau perusahaan yang bersangkutan bergerak di industri seluler, blognya bisa diisi tulisan, katakanlah tentang jenis-jenis ponsel; kelebihan dan kekurangan teknologi GSM, HSDPA, atau CDMA; atau perkembangan teknologi telekomunikasi terbaru. Jika perusahaan itu bergerak di industri makanan, bisa saja isinya tentang makanan sehat, bahaya bahan pengawet, pentingnya gizi, dan sebagainya.
Blog perusahaan mestinya juga menjadi semacam tempat pelanggan mencari dan memperoleh aneka informasi tentang produsen dan produknya. Bukan sekadar tempat promosi. Edukasi dibuat dengan gaya yang personal dan kasual sehingga pembaca akan merasa berhadapan dengan seorang manusia. Bukan labirin birokrasi sebuah korporasi.
Pelanggan yang dapat berinteraksi di blog perusahaan tentu akan merasa dimanjakan, dianggap sebagai raja yang selayaknya dilayani dengan baik. Mereka dapat bertanya atau memberi masukan dengan leluasa, sekaligus memperoleh respons segera.
Perusahaan yang baik pastilah merasa bahwa produk/layanannya belumlah sempurna. Tapi mereka bersedia mendengarkan pelanggannya agar dapat meningkatkan kualitas produk/layanan. Blog adalah tempat mendengarkan suara pelanggan itu.
Apakah dengan demikian blog korporat akan menggantikan fungsi costumer service? Tentu saja tidak. Blog adalah bentuk media yang lain dari CS. Fungsinya melengkapi.
Seandainya CS bekerja dengan baik, apakah blog korporat masih diperlukan? Tentu saja ya. Ada fungsi dan peran blog yang tak tergantikan. Blog menyediakan informasi tertulis yang mendalam dan “kaya” tentang produk/jasa layanan sebuah perusahaan. Sebuah produk, misalnya, bisa disajikan dalam bentuk foto dan video sehingga pengunjung dapat mendengar dan menonton langsung. Peran ini tentu saja tak bisa diberikan oleh seorang petugas CS yang dikontak lewat telepon.
Tentu saja masih banyak manfaat blog bagi perusahaan. Tapi perlu diperhitungkan bahwa blog ibarat tiket sekali jalan. Begitu sebuah perusahaan memutuskan membuka blog, maka komitmen itu harus dijaga terus dan tak ada kata berhenti. Blog perusahaan harus dirawat dan dikelola terus-menerus. Jika blog itu dibiarkan hidup segan mati tak mau, atau malah ditutup, citra perusahaan pun akan jatuh. Maka, pikirkanlah masak-masak sebelum memutuskan membuat blog perusahaan.

Yang pasti, perusahaan semakin mendekatkan diri dengan konsumen dan calon konsumen.
